St. Petersburg: a dark tunnel.

Well went to a puppet show yesterday. It was great, I got to see little kids (average age of 75% of audience age 3). Its nice to know that russians were happy at for at least some of their lives. But of course this was promptly followed by a terrible, depressing show tonight, a very close call in the subway for Bob the retired prof. and a brisk jittery walk home. It doesn't matter if you think you're in a reputable area or feel safe. It doesn't matter if there is a grandma and a baby in the vicinity- you have to be cautious because humanity is so last year.

I fucking hate this city.

I'm sorry you hate Russia, Susan.

I hope this cheers you up...I had a "Susan moment" last Friday night, and by that I (of course) mean that I nearly lit something on fire.

Suffice it to say that gooseneck clip lamps and teddy bears don't like each other very much, and my teddy bear now has a very large, brown burn mark on his head. :(

I'm such an assclown. And now my bear's head smells like burning. haha

Cheers!
