Back and living in Style

Well I am back on Campus and most definitely back in the swing of classes. But more importantly My Anti-Valentines day bash is just around the corner! To get everyone in the mood for the lovely little degradation of V.D. or cough...Valentines day. I feel that everyone needs to visually prepare to embrace the celebration of Love, So what better way than to indulge in one of the greatest cinematic genres ever created, the Romantic drama. If you are looking for that romantic movie to watch with that special someone or just in need of a little romance, here are some great options located (for the most part) at your local Blockbuster/movie store.

1) Misery (1990 ) : a testament of true devotion. This romantic scorcher revolves around a lonely middle-age woman and a once in a life time chance meeting with her favorite author. Nothing spells love like an entrancing story of how literature can bring two strangers together for a quiet secluded romantic get-away in the woods. A good choice for a first-time dates...Particularly if that date is someone that you have been currently stalking and have managed to manipulate into coming to your room and purposely broken their legs so they can't leave.

2) Pet cemetery (1989 ) - here's a good one the entire family can enjoy. this classic speaks of family togetherness and how to deal with the loss of a love one. Nothing says WE WILL BE TOGETHER FOREVER like burying your family members in a demonic cemetery so they will have to live the rest of their days in possessed and decaying instead of enjoying the afterlife, It really should be shown on the hallmark channel.

3) 9. The Shining (1980 ) - this is a good one for married couples to get into. That's right if ladies, if you're married to a slightly creepy yet somehow strangely attractive man, have a young son believes a man lives in his finger and live in a abandoned hotel where a ghastly murder has taken place I guarantee this is the movie for you and your beau.....if you want to see a preview for this great feature here is a link ...http://www.ebaumsworld.com/videos/shining.html

or experience the enchanting love of :

4) the screaming skull- the old classic speaks of the trials of a second love in a second marriage and the courage one couple faces when the young man's first wife....a really bitter skull....tries to break apart their love affair.

5) Hellraiser- a timeless story of a woman torn between two brothers. One her devoted husband , the other his black sheep brother who having escaped from the hell dimension needs her love, devotion and care .....because he has no flesh covering his body.

7) Blue Beard starring John Carradine- the inspiring tale of a man who just needs to find that right woman.

8) The brain that wouldn't die - a story of a young man as he copes with caring for his young handicapped wife who having nothing below the neck- just needs needs her husbands love.

9) the last woman on Earth- self explanatory

10) and Robot Monster- even robots can find their love match

Yes all these movies have great romantic interludes and memories that will satisfy both you and your significant other while also having a lot of red in it.
Happy valentines day everyone
Susan
